Odysseic Divers started in 2016 with a single boat, two instructors and a shack on the east-coast strip of Gili Trawangan. We'd both worked at big dive centres where a guide led eight or ten divers at a time, and we wanted the opposite: small groups, unhurried dives, and time to actually teach.
That idea stuck. Today we run two boats a day and a team of twelve, but every fun dive and every course still has a maximum of four divers per guide. It's the one thing we've never been willing to change.
We dive the Gilis because they're some of the gentlest, most forgiving water in Indonesia for learning, and some of the most rewarding for experienced divers who want turtles, reef sharks and easy drifts. Our job is to show you the best of them, safely, and leave the reef the way we found it.
- Maximum four divers per guide, on every dive
- Two boats a day from our own beach
